Orlando Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Lawyer

As an Orlando bankruptcy lawyer, I meet and talk with clients everyday who have tried extremely hard to pay their debts.  My clients have extended numerous offers to pay their creditors but are met with threats and harassment instead of a creditor’s willingness to “work with” my clients.  When you have exhausted all other options, filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy may be your best choice to ensure a stable financial future for you and your family.

I take each client’s situation and develop a strategy to deal with that situation so that my client’s financial goals are accomplished.  Getting out of debt is the first step towards a bright financial future.

If you are ready to take that first step and talk to an Orlando Chapter 7 Bankruptcy lawyer, I really hope you choose to Contact me.  Many of my clients feel an instant sense of relief after they have talked with me and, in a 10-15 phone call wipe away months, if not years, of anxiety about their debts.

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and the Means Test

The “new” Bankruptcy law, passed in 2005, imposes certain income eligibility requirements for people wanting to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy.  Eligibility is determined by a test that takes into consideration a person’s income — relative to that of his or her state’s median income — for a household of comparable size. Here’s a link to a median income table to give you an idea what I’m talking about. These tables change about every 6 months, so keep that in mind.
The thing is, the income requirement is only a starting point in determining whether Chapter 7 is right for you. For example, you may be eligible to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy based on your income, but you may also have assets that you do not want to lose if you file Bankruptcy.

During your free consultation with me, you will learn whether a Chapter 7 is right for you given your specific individual set of circumstances. You may find that Chapter 13 Bankruptcy is the best option for you.  You may find that not filing for bankruptcy at all is the best option for you.  You never know until you call. 407-898-8225

Stop Annoying, Rude, Belligerent, Threatening, Mean, Ruthless…

You get the point right?  Life is tough enough without some stranger or strangers calling your home, your place of work, your relatives, or friends, about a bill you can’t pay.  Upon your filing of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, your creditors are prohibited from contacting you with regard to the collection of a debt.

This protection extends to car repossession and homeforeclosure as well as harassing phone calls, letters, or any other method of bill collection.  You can stop creditor harassment by filing bankruptcy.  It’s that simple.

Even better, if they are stupid enough to continue to call you after you’ve filed, YOU GET TO SUE THEM!
